Season 3 begins with Belly and Jeremiah happily at college. Their relationship appears to be going well until a significant revelation elevates it to new heights. This season is packed with major life decisions, a lot of growing up, and significant emotional challenges.

My Thoughts on Season 3:

I've been a fan of the show since it was first released and have been captivated from the start. However, I've had many questions throughout this season and the entire series.

From the beginning of this show, it's been evident that Conrad is all Belly has ever desired. However, due to Conrad's inability to express his feelings and his tendency to handle life's challenges alone, Belly has been pushed away and into the arms of his brother. Personally, I never fully grasped how Belly could date Jeremiah without considering the negative impact it would have on the brothers' relationship. I found it somewhat alarming and selfish, given what the boys have been experiencing. On the other hand, despite it being evident that Jeremiah has been harbouring this rivalry with his brother, clearly fueled by their parents' favoritism towards Conrad, I believe it was always a disaster waiting to happen with Jeremiah pursuing Belly after obviously seeing how strongly they feel about each other.

Personally, I can't imagine being in a romantic relationship with a guy who has dated my sister, but of course, everyone’s boundaries are different. The whole discussion essentially boils down to one question: "which brother is better for Belly?" I find that answer quite nuanced because every girl has different tastes and preferences when it comes to communication style, physical type, and preferred personality traits. The truth is, it depends on what you value in a partner.

These two boys were raised in the same household with the same parents, yet they have distinctly different personalities while sharing similar values. Some might be drawn to Jeriamh's playful and outgoing demeanor, his emotional openness, or his vibrant optimism. Alternatively, you might find Conrad's protective, reserved, and mysterious qualities more intriguing.

Ultimately, as an observer watching these dynamics from the outside, I feel that even if Belly wanted to pursue a future with Jeremiah, she would need to truly let go of Conrad, which she hasn't done. This isn't to say that I don't believe she loves Jeremiah, but I don't think it's the same. I also feel there is significant codependency between the two of them, which isn't always a bad thing (you should be able to depend on your life partner), but I believe it's important to know yourself before entering a serious relationship much less marriage.

When we last left Belly in Paris, she appeared to be embracing her new life. She has made new friends and has decided to extend her stay because she found an opportunity to rent an apartment without roommates. She and Jeramniah have been separated for a year and have decided to officially move on from each other. They are both focusing on discovering their own identities independently. I believe this is beneficial, especially because they are so young and should have the opportunity for self-discovery.Meanwhile, Conrad has been somewhat isolated from the group due to the incident at the wedding. However, in the last episode, we saw the brothers reconcile on the anniversary of their mother's passing. I believe that day really put a lot into perspective for both of them. Conrad has been writing letters to Belly, and the episode ends with him contemplating a visit to her when an opportunity to travel to Europe for work presents itself. We'll have to wait and see how everything plays out in the finale.

Although I'm almost certain that Belly and Conrad will end up together, you never know what twists or surprises might be in store for us. Whether you’re Team Jeremiah or Team Conrad, one thing is certain: The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 has kept us hooked until the very last moment.
